"Bourg d’Oisans is a beautiful little town. Hotel des Alpes was centrally situated and run by a lovely young couple who were very accommodating. Found a special lock up room for the bikes so that we did not have to drag them up and down the stairs whenever we wanted to cycle. The breakfast was good value for money as well.The bike rental shop was close by and these guys were really good and very patient.The shuttle service from Tannay to Bourg d’Oisans and from Bourg d’Oisans to Lyon was done by the same gentleman. He drove well and arrived at least 15 minutes before the scheduled pick up time.I was very happy with all the reservations that were made.."

We had a really fantastic time cycling in the Maurienne valley and the surrounding mountains.

We would like to take this opportunity to comment and thank Giles for our memorable cycling experience last week in the French Alps. We were very impressed with Giles our guide and his passion of the sport which he so successfully passed on to us. Besides his experience of cycling and the high attention to every little detail which included professional bike selection, individual bike fitting,warm up preparation and daily maintenance, his advice regarding the right balanced nutrition that gave us the much needed energy whilst cycling up the passes,including his Patè de mande,loads of bananas and home cooked food eaten in amazing locations were indispensable. The route detail and quick plan B decisions due to fatigue or adverse weather,clothing preparation and explanations of our daily ride plus his knowledge of the terrain made him the ideal guide, partner and friend throughout this trip which we would highly recommend to anyone embarking on such a memorable adventure.We will definitely look out for a repeat trip in the future!
